This was a difficult indication for recruitment. There was an overwhelming response to the sponsor’s central campaign, but it yielded only 2 patients.
During prescreening, we were able to identify underlying causes of the pruritis. Therefore, we were able to exclude non-qualified referrals. This prescreening allowed our team to bring in the most qualified participants. Best indicators for successful enrollment were previous patients and Sanova physician referral.
